“Run With The Wolves” was written during a season of transition — a time when I was letting go of an old chapter and slowly finding my way into a new one.
The song was deeply influenced by an earlier period in my life, when I picked up a guitar for the first time and was discovering my own voice. That was also when I first read "Women Who Run With the Wolves" by Clarissa Pinkola Estés, a book that reminded me of the strength and wisdom that live within us — the parts that can’t be taken, no matter what we lose.
At its core, this song is about freedom — the kind that comes from knowing your soul is untouchable and meant to run wild. It’s also a quiet nod to the power of women standing together, running side by side, finding strength in their wildness and in each other.
Produced with Jared Corder at Polychrome Ranch, the track blends punchy alternative folk with raw, soulful storytelling.
About the Artist:
Rosemary Schultz is a Nashville-based indie folk artist known for her raw, haunting vocals and gritty blend of acoustic guitar and harmonica. Her songs weave classic folk storytelling with a rebellious edge, moving audiences through emotionally charged performances that celebrate freedom, love, and defiance. The release of "Betty & Jesse" on September 5, 2025 marked the next chapter in Schultz’s unconventional music journey, one that didn’t begin until age 25. Born and raised in Ohio, Schultz served in the military before ever writing a song. After leaving the service, she picked up a guitar as a way to process her thoughts and find herself again. Music was never something she intended to share—but four years later, it’s become an outlet for healing and connection.
